Matthew 10: 8 very specifically tells us to heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons. Give as freely as you have received! We take that very seriously at The River Room Church. Whether it be yourself, a loved one, or a complete stranger, we want you to be able to speak words of life into that person. God wants you healed. We see evidence of this in Matthew 8: 1-3 when … large crowds followed Jesus as he came down the mountainside. Suddenly, a man with leprosy approached him and knelt before him. “Lord,” the man said, “if you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean.” Jesus reached out and touched him. “I am willing,” he said. “Be healed!” And instantly the leprosy disappeared. God wants to heal us … 1 John 3: 8 should be one of our favorite verses as it states that God sent Jesus to the earth to undo the works of the devil. Sickness and disease is the work of the devil. The River Room Church of Hampton Roads wants to help you overcome the works of the devil, and every Saturday we offer various teachings to help you do just that.
Cassandra Donnelly
1st Saturday of each month at 3 pm Minister Cassandra Donnelly facilitates a workshop the first Saturday of the month on Mental Health Care and Intercession. A different topic is covered monthly, followed by art therapy. Cassandra has years of experience, working with mentally challenged adults in a hospital environment. The video is last month’s workshop titled “Overcoming Rejection thru the Word of God and the Holy Spirit.”
Dr. Wendi Nixon
Minister Wendi Nixon facilitates workshops on Mental Health Care and healing. She is a National Certified Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. The video is her past workshop teaching titled, “Mental Health in the Bible.”
