Park at LOT “C” across from the stadium at Harbor Park. We will assemble the marchers and vans providing music in that parking lot, and will exit the lot as we march to City Hall.
We will march to Norfolk City Hall. A worship team will welcome us as we continue to worship, praise and glorify Jesus. Church leaders will shares prayers about our community and nation, and the Mayor of Norfolk will share a proclamation
You can also ride the Tide into Norfolk. There is a stop at Harbor Park, and you can return back to the Newtown Road station if you get back on the Tide at the City Hall stationl.
What Is a March for Jesus?Simply a parade composed of worshipping Christians carry Christian banners, singing, marching and dancing along a designated route. It is a beautful, powerful worship experience for all ages. Dozens of local churches from the Hampton Roads area will glorify Jesus through the streets of Norfolk.Hundreds will walk behind sound trucks playing music from Harbor Park to City Hall in what is essentially a public worship parade. These March for Jesus parades have been held around the world for over 40 years with over 50 million people participating. There have been at least 18 similar March for Jesus parades in Hampton Roads in the past 25 years according to Bishop Cleveland Brown of Norfolk. Once we reach City Hall, we will have a short time of singing and prayer and the Mayor of Norfolk is scheduled to welcome us.This parade has nothing to do with politics or social causes although we are going to pray for some specific areas of need in the city of Norfolk. No protest signs will be allowed in the march.
